Syringe filter, Macherey-Nagel CHROMAFIL Xtra, GF, Ø13 mm, 1 µm, 100 pcs
Description
CHROMAFIL® Xtra GMF syringe filters from Macherey-Nagel
These syringe filters are used either for coarse filtration of suspended matter from liquid samples, with high flow efficiency and little to no clogging, or as a first filtration pre-filter before fine filtration with another syringe filter. Designed specifically for chromatography, a HPLC Certification is available on the manufacturer website. With a polypropylene (PP) housing and ultrasonically sealed shells, CHROMAFIL® syringe filters have better solvent stability compared to acrylate and polystyrene filters - with no glue and therefore no extractable components from glue.
The thick rim of the housing is ideal for use with laboratory robots (e.g. Benchmate™). Filter inlet and outlet can be fitted to CHROMABOND® columns for selective sample preparation with the aid of a special adaptor. All filters can be autoclaved at 121 °C and 1.1 bar for 30 minutes.
CHROMAFIL® Xtra are labeled, colourless filters, especially useful for method validation and certification. The imprint allows direct identification of the membrane type, diameter, and pore size. With Luer lock entry for a safe connection on the "high pressure" entry side - and the symmetrical construction enables back-filtration at lower pressures. All CHROMAFIL® Xtra syringe filters have standard Luer slip outlet.
Glass microfiber (GF/GMF): Hydrophilic glass microfiber membrane, which can be used for solutions with high particle load or high viscosity, e.g. soil samples and fermentation media. The high chemical resistance of GF glass microfiber allows the filtration of aggresive solutions and solvents.
Can also be used as a prefilter before other syringe filters.
