Description

Puradisc™ syringe filters for routine syringe filtration, from Cytiva Whatman

Puradisc™ syringe filters cater to a wide variety of sample types and applications, including capillary electrophoresis, biological preparations, protein filtration, and UV spectroscopy sample preparation. Different Puradisc™ membrane media support diverse chemical solvents and compounds. Cytiva's Whatman™ Puradisc™ line is a comprehensive syringe filter portfolio used in a variety of applications.

Puradisc polypropylene syringe filters have high and uniform tolerance to heat and mechanical stress. The slightly hydrophobic membrane is resistant to a wide variety of organic solvents. Suitable for HPLC sample filtration (water-based), purification of reagents and buffers, and filtration of aggressive water solutions, such as acids and alkalis.

These special Depth filters (DpPP) consist of a woven polypropylene which catch particles inside the filter instead of on the surface. This media is a good choice where increased loading capacity is required, such as for general clarification of samples, and can be seen as a combined alternative to a glass microfiber prefilter with a PP filter behind.
