Incubators are widely used in all laboratories, from biological processes, such as cell and tissue cultures, to pharmaceutical and haematological studies, to biochemical studies, food processing and cell aeration.
An incubator provides a stable, contamination-free environment which is a basic requirement in a laboratory. In the chamber, the temperature range can usually be controlled (depending on the model) in the range from 0 ° C to 80 ° C, but an incubator is often used from 5 ° C to 37 ° C. The incubator can be expanded to also regulate several growth factors such as humidity, ventilation and CO2. An incubator is therefore named after the type of equipment.
Buch & Holm is a dealer for several of the leading manufacturers of incubators, and we are happy to advise on choosing an incubator.
