Spectrophotometry

Spectrophotometry is measured by how much light is released through a particular substance at a certain wavelength, monochromatic light. A substance can absorb a certain color. So, if a fabric has blue as a complementary color, the substance is orange. If the substance is blue, seen with our eyes, then the orange color is absorbed.

Spectrophotometry is often used for quantitative analyses that require a spectrophotometer. A solution is reduced in the spectrophotometer and light is thus sent through the solution and the wavelength of the reflected light is measured.

We offer spectophotometers and accessories from other Aqualytic, Biochrom, BRAND, Eppendorf, Harvard, Hellma, Jenway, Kartell, Lovibond, The Tintometer, WTW and others. You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions.
