This filter vial is a single device consisting of a plunger and a graduated filter barrel with a choice of filtration media.

The Whatman Autovial Syringeless Filter replaces multiple syringe-coupled sample filtration devices with a single, disposable unit. This convenient, preassembled filtration device removes particulates from samples. Features an integral filter and built-in air purge, maximizing sample recovery, and has a support stand that protects the recessed slip-luer tip.
