THOMSON Ultra-Yield shake flasks, designed for cultivation of bacteria.

The entire shape of THOMSON Ultra-Yield shake flasks have been redesigned compared to the normal Erlenmeyer or Fernbach flasks, to provide better aeration of the media during shaking. Even the size of the lid is increased to allow for bigger filters, thus allowing more airflow.

Ultra-Yield flasks compared to THOMSON Optimum Growth flasks, has bigger baffles providing better breakage of air bubbles, thus more media aeration. Bigger baffles also more shear stress why Ultra-Yield is not for mammalian cells. 

High media aeration/airflow = High Yield

The Flasks are delivered without a lid. We recommend using THOMSON AirOTop seals with 0,2 µm filter for the best results. 

THOMSON Ultra-Yield flasks can be autoclaved and reused, depending on laboratory policies. THOMSON recommends no more than 3 rounds of autoclavation.
