EXCHANGE YOUR FREEZER FOR A NEW ONE

If your -86°C freezer is more than 10 years old, it could be consuming as much as 30 kWh a day! Perhaps it is about time to replace it with a new environmentally friendly model from PHCbi? The savings on your electricity bills alone will justify and finance the buy of a new freezer.

You will get a scrapping premium of DKK 5.000 for your old freezer – irrespective of the brand. This only applies when you buy a new -86°C PHCbi freezer.

Energy consumption
Even brand new freezers may consume more than one and a half times as much electricity as a household of 4 people. Electricity costs approx. DKK 2.28 per kWh including taxes, which is the highest quote in Europe.

According to Dansk Energi, an average family with a house of 150 m2 uses 4.450 kWh a year, which corresponds to an electricity bill of approx. DKK 10,148. This means that a family typically uses 12.19 kWh a day, which corresponds to the energy consumption of many -86°C freezers. Besides, electricity is often used for cooling and for removal of the heat from the room.

Disposal of the old one
When delivering a new freezer, we will also collect your old freezer for scrap in an environmentally friendly way. This means that we dispose of coolants, dismantle components and dispose of it properly according to the guidelines.
