Single-use disposable units from Nalgene for sterile filtration of media and other reagents. Ideal for use with cell culture work. With polystyrene chambers (top and bottom) and surfactant-free, cellulose acetate membrane (SFCA).
Low protein binding with a high throughput. Lot no., catalogue no., membrane type, pore size and expiration date are all printed on the bottle, ensuring high traceability and easy identification.
Surfactant-Free Cellulose Acetate (SFCA): Hydrophilic membrane with even lower protein binding than normal CA filters.
SFCA differs by not containing the surfactants normally present in CA filters. These surfactants help lowering the surface tension af water through the filters, and because SFCA lack them, we reach even lower adsorption of water, proteins, sera, and culture media.
